These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Muselink mobile application and related services (the “Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility (Age)
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
You are required to provide your date of birth when creating an account. Muselink verifies that you meet the minimum age requirement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
3. What Muselink Is
Muselink is a network platform that helps users discover creators, upload and browse short audio content, connect through matching, and communicate through in-app chat.
Muselink’s responsibility is limited to providing the Service features. Muselink does not act as an agent, manager, broker, employer, representative, or insurer for any user.
4. Accounts and Security
4.1 Account access
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4.2 Account security
You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
5. User Content and Ownership
5.1 “User Content”
“User Content” means audio, messages, text, metadata (including tags, goals, genres), and any other content you submit to the Service.
5.2 Your ownership
You retain ownership of your User Content.
5.3 Rights to upload
You may upload, share, or distribute only User Content that you created and own or that you otherwise have the legal rights and permissions to use. Infringing content is prohibited.
5.4 License to operate the Service
You grant Muselink a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, convert/encode (including conversion to MP3), transmit, and display your User Content solely to:
- operate and provide the Service,
- enable playback, discovery, matching, and sharing within the Service, and
- enforce safety, moderation, and legal compliance.
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from the Service, except where retention is required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to comply with lawful requests.
6. Downloads and Use of Other Users’ Content
6.1 Download functionality
The Service may allow you to download other users’ audio.
6.2 Prohibition on theft and misuse
You may not:
- claim another user’s content as your own,
- redistribute, reupload, sell, license, publicly perform, or commercially exploit another user’s content without the content owner’s explicit permission,
- create derivative works (including remixes) without the content owner’s explicit permission,
- use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights.
6.3 Enforcement
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or account termination.
6.4 User responsibility when sharing
Users must share only what they are confident about sharing. If you choose to make content downloadable or send files to others, you accept the risk that others may misuse it. Muselink will take action when violations are reported and verified, but cannot guarantee prevention of all misuse.
7. Chat and Expiring Attachments
7.1 Chat rules
Messages and shared files must comply with these Terms and the Safety Rules in section 9.
7.2 Expiration of chat attachments
Audio files sent through chat expire 48 hours after upload completion. After expiration, access may be removed. You are responsible for saving anything you want to keep before it expires.
8. Collaboration Is Solely Between Users
8.1 Platform role
Muselink is responsible only for connecting users and providing in-app discovery, matching, and chat.
8.2 Sole responsibility of users
Any collaboration, agreements, payments, credits, deliverables, contracts, disputes, and outcomes between users are solely the responsibility of the users involved.
8.3 No guarantees
Muselink does not guarantee collaboration outcomes, quality, legality, payment, or delivery of work, nor does Muselink mediate private disputes.
9. Safety Rules and Prohibited Content/Behavior
You may not use the Service to post, share, upload, or transmit content or behavior that is illegal, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, exploitative, or otherwise objectionable.
You may not impersonate others, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
Content moderation
Muselink uses automated systems to screen images and other content shared through the Service. Content that is flagged as containing adult, violent, or otherwise prohibited material may be automatically rejected. Muselink may also manually review content for compliance.
Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
The Service provides mechanisms to report users/content and to block users. You can view and manage your blocked users from your account settings. Muselink may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts for violations, and may respond to reports in a timely manner.
10. Location-Based Features
If you enable location permissions, Muselink may use location signals to show nearby creators and expand discovery radius. Location accuracy can vary and distances may be approximate. If you deny location permission, some features may be limited.
11. Hashtag Campaigns, Reposts, and Interviews
11.1 No marketing use without permission
Muselink will not use your User Content in marketing without your permission.
11.2 Community hashtag campaigns
If you voluntarily participate in Muselink campaigns that request creators to tag public posts with “#muselinkapp” (or another clearly announced Muselink campaign hashtag) for reposting, you grant Muselink permission to repost that specific tagged content on Muselink’s channels.
You can withdraw permission for future reposting by contacting support@muselink.app. Withdrawal cannot retroactively remove reposts already published by third parties or already distributed content.
11.3 Interviews and creator stories
If Muselink asks you to do an interview or share your creative process, Muselink will request your explicit consent before publication.
12. Account Deletion and Data Removal
12.1 In-app account deletion
You can delete your Muselink account directly within the app via Privacy & Account settings. You may also request deletion by contacting support@muselink.app.
Deletion is intended to remove your account from Muselink’s records and delete personal data associated with your account that Muselink is not legally required to keep.
12.2 Processing time and verification
Muselink may require verification to prevent fraud or unauthorized deletion. Deletion may take time to complete. Certain data may be retained where required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or to comply with lawful requests.
13. Suspension and Termination
Muselink may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Muselink does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that content will always be available.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Muselink is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:
- your use of the Service,
- interactions or collaborations with other users,
- unauthorized access to or use of content,
- misuse of downloaded content by other users.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Muselink harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- your User Content,
- your use of the Service,
- your violation of these Terms,
- your infringement of any third-party rights.
17. Changes to the Service or Terms
Muselink may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, Muselink will provide notice within the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
