FIND COLLABORATORS

Why Finding the Right Collaborator Matters

Every role brings something different to the table. Here's what to look for in each.

What Does a Music Producer Do?

  1. They shape the sound

A producer takes your raw idea and builds the full arrangement — drums, melody, structure, energy.

  2. They guide the session

Whether remote or in-studio, a good producer keeps the creative direction focused and moving forward.

  3. The right match changes everything

The wrong producer makes a track that sounds fine but feels off. The right one pushes you somewhere new.

  4. Muselink.app bends the rules

Upload your sound and discover producers outside your usual genre. The best collabs happen when you stop playing it safe.

Questions about Muselink.app

Everything you need to know about the music collaboration app built for creators.

Muselink.app is a music collaboration app for iOS that matches you with producers, vocalists, songwriters, beatmakers, and mix engineers. Upload a 10–15 second snippet of your sound, tag the role you’re looking for, and discover collaborators whose taste actually fits yours.

You upload a snippet of your music and tag a goal like “Find a Vocalist” or “Find a Producer.” The discovery feed surfaces creators whose taste fits your sound — no bios, no portfolios, no guessing. When both of you tap like, the chat opens and you start collaborating from there.

Muselink.app shows your snippet to creators in the discovery feed. They listen, then tap like or skip. If both of you like each other’s snippets, you’re matched and the chat opens. There’s no inbox spam — only mutual-match conversations get through. Every five skips, the feed also surfaces snippets from creators who already liked you, so you don’t have to keep searching to find people already searching for you.

A snippet is a 10–15 second clip of your music — recorded directly in the app or trimmed from a longer file. It’s short on purpose: collaborators decide in 10–15 seconds whether your sound fits theirs, and a snippet is enough to know. Full tracks live elsewhere; snippets are how you get matched.

Muselink.app is built for music creators aged 13–25 — producers, vocalists, songwriters, beatmakers, mix engineers, and anyone who makes music. Whether you’re just starting or already releasing, Muselink.app helps you find collaborators outside your usual circle.

Muselink.app is built around six core features: upload or record a 10–15 second snippet with a native iOS audio visualizer, tag goals like “Find a Producer” or “Find a Vocalist,” discover and match with creators by genre and style, chat directly once you mutually match, build your music portfolio, and export shareable videos with your goals baked in.

Splice, BandLab, and Soundtrap are workspace tools — built for creating and editing music inside the app. Muselink.app is a discovery and matching layer that sits on top of whatever DAW you already use. We don’t replace your workflow; we solve the part that came before it: finding the right collaborator. Once you match, you take the work into your own DAW.

Yes. Muselink.app exports each snippet as a 720×1280 HD video with the audio, the visualizer, and your goal tag (“Find a Vocalist,” etc.) baked in. Share it on Instagram, TikTok, X, or anywhere else — the goal travels with the post, so anyone discovering you off-platform already knows what you’re looking for.

All kinds: hip-hop, R&B, pop, electronic, lo-fi, Afrobeats, indie, drill, and more. The matching is built around sound — not genre tags or follower counts — so you’re more likely to find collaborators outside your usual lane. The platform is intentionally cross-genre.

Snippets in the discovery feed are short by design — 10–15 seconds isn’t enough material for someone to release as their own. Inside chat, shared audio files have an expiry. You stay in control of when and what you share, and your full tracks never leave your device unless you choose to send them.

Muselink.app is iOS-only for now. The native Metal audio visualizer is a core part of the experience and we built it specifically for iOS. Android and web are on the roadmap but not yet available.

Muselink.app doesn’t manage credits or splits — that’s between you and your collaborator. What Muselink.app provides is intent transparency: a vocalist who matched on a snippet tagged “Find a Vocalist” came in expecting that role, which makes the credit conversation easier upstream. We recommend agreeing on splits before the first take.
